No bins take your rubbish, no clean drinking water so bring your own.

The nearby cascades ring in the air. Only a 5 minute walk away.

The amenities available are impeccable, clean and highly maintained. Fire places are new and have built in bbq plate and Billy holder.

2wd accessible. The road is a little rough and weathered.

Would be a lovely place to swim and fish if the river were flowing after rain, otherwise stagnant pools as it was yesterday in high summer. 4WDers heaven, but for me too dusty, rough and campsite not worth the wear and tear on my vehicle. NB despite what the NPWS website states, the access road is 4WD only unless you wish to explain to your insurance company and mechanic how your 2WD was damaged.

There seems to be a lot of movement at night due to wildlife.

No phone reception. There is an emergency phone point on the highest part of the road. Signposted.

Best part I found about this camping ground is it's serenity, far enough from civilisation without the need to drive a long distance.

Magical spot. Campground itself is well-maintained, if a bit dusty. Clean pit toilet - except under the sparrows nest. Large fire pit at the campground. But the star attractions are the river and falls. Sit on a plastic bag and go sliding down the rock face into the river. Or go on a longer walk and check out the waterfall. Local wildlife included kangaroos/wallabies, kookaburras and a couple of wrestling goannas. You will need a four wheel drive to get in. And you need to book campsites as spaces are limited, although the sites are free.
